Baci Ice Cream

I don't know why this recipe is showing up in a Cooking Light forum; it is absolutely not light. However, it is absolutely one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. I left out the hazelnut syrup (because I didn't have any) and the result was still amazing: almost like a frozen mousse, only even thicker and creamier. But small serving sizes are a must, I think. It's just way too rich to eat too much of.

Some of the forum participants thought it was too rich. Not us, though.

Really: what the heck is that doing in Cooking Light? But I am dying to try it in my favorite birthday present, my ice cream ball from LL Bean.

Susan, the ice cream ball looks amazing! But carrying the ice cream ingredients camping? Mmm, not so much. Let's just play with it in the backyard, I say...

They must mean car camping. Or RV camping, more like it. Yes, the backyard (or living room!) is the best place to play with this. We had vanilla ice cream and then lemon-lime sorbe made by the ice cream ball, and they were both delicious.
