Queen of the Allen Wrench

All Hail the Queen!

(I finally got up the courage to throw away the extra allen wrenches that came in all those boxes. Now I'm worried the Gods of The Allen Wrench will wreak their vengeance, and my next furniture delivery will be missing its wrench. The horror.)

I feel your pain.

Target had these cute kiddie picnic tables that they finally dropped to clearance at the beginning of August. It was too fireplacing hot and muggy to be outside for weeks, so it just sat in the box in our dining room for a month. Then, last weekend, we took it outside and put it together. It had about a hundred pieces. The top alone had *sixty* Phillips head screws (on top of all the Allen wrenching). Thank god for power screw drivers.

We've been storing some styrofoam in the garage for over a year, "just in case," but yesterday -- finally -- I got rid of it. Luckily there's a packing store a block away that'll reuse the stuff...

a little styrofoam comes in handy - like when you need to prop something up in the garage/cellar so it doesn't get wet or dirty...

i never know what to do with those allen keys...i feel like jody - like i should keep them. like maybe i'll take apart the three of the four ikea chairs that got put together with one piece wrong...
